Cindy M

Cindy MacNaul

Cindy began her management career as a Production Supervisor with Baxter Laboratories. As a participant in the Management Trainee Program, she graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in Business Management. With the closing of this manufacturing facility, she began a dual career as a restaurant owner and as a Business Program instructor at a local community college. 

Cindy returned to the corporate world where she served as a Contract Manufacturing Analyst for Sterling Drug (now Abbott Labs). As an analyst, she coordinated the manufacturing of new drugs for some of the world’s leading drug companies. Her career as a corporate trainer began when she helped train this workforce to become high performance work teams. While working full-time at Abbott,Cindy completed her Master’s degree in Technical Teacher Education at Pittsburg State University. After moving to Colorado in 1999, she accepted the Training Coordinator position with Wagner Equipment Co. In 2004, Cindy was promoted to the Manager of Wagner Training Institute. She holds several training certifications, including: Team Concept (PDS), 360° Review Process (PDI), MBTI, Strong Interest Survey, Career Decision Making (Blessing & White), Interaction Management (DDI) and The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Franklin Covey).

Ron B

Ron Barton

Ron was born in the San Francisco Bay area. He spent his childhood days in Lake Tahoe, California; Eugene, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; and Anchorage, Alaska before landing in Colorado in 1972. Ron graduated from Northglenn High School and later attended Front Range Community College where he earned his associate’s degree in accounting.

Ron worked for 18 years in the telecommunications industry as a Financial Manager. After leaving telecommunications, he invented a product and started his own business installing a visible-only-at-night stellar system on ceilings and walls. Once Ron grew tired of seeing stars in his eyes, he went to work for Carefree of Colorado/Powerwinch as a Sales Manager. He left Carefree to support Avaya as a trainer providing end-user training on Avaya’s telephones and telephone systems for a number of Avaya’s fortune 500 clients. Ron joined Wagner Equipment Co. in 2008.

In his spare time, Ron is a Shriner with El Jebel Shrine in Denver. The Shrine supports 22 children’s hospitals nationally by providing care to children at no cost to the child or their families. He is a member of several Shrine parade units, so you may find him participating in a local parade over the spring and summer months.

Marty C

After graduating from Longmont High School in 1978, Marty spent four years in an apprentice program with the International Union of Operating Engineers. During that time, he learned industry basics as an employee with Schmidt-Tiago Construction Co. He completed construction jobs throughout Western Colorado, including Glenwood Canyon and DuBeque Canyon.

In 1983, Marty accepted a service position with Wagner Equipment Co. Building a strong foundation for his current position, Marty has worked as a Journeyman Mechanic in the main shop, a Field Service Mechanic, a Diagnostic Technician, a Service Training Instructor and a Service Training Supervisor.

To support his significant industry experience, Marty has an impressive number of professional certifications in a wide range of skills. He holds various certifications from Martin RTC, Caterpillar, Ziegler RTC and NPK. He is also CPR / First Aid and Blood borne Pathogens certified through the Red Cross and certified to teach Smith System Driver Training. Marty is currently leading several major projects to enhance the effectiveness of technicians throughout Wagner Equipment Co. He looks forward to growing the Apprentice and Gas Engine programs to meet the future training needs of advanced technology in Caterpillar machines.

Boni Beckwith was born in Sterling, CO and spent her early years on the family farm outside Akron, CO. As a teenager, she moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ where she graduated from high school and worked in the hotel/hospitality industry. She also worked in the hospitality industry in Nevada, in both Laughlin and Las Vegas. She began as a front desk clerk and advanced to the Assistant Hotel Manager.

In 2003, Boni moved back to Colorado and decided to pursue other career interests; thereby taking a sales position with Wagner Equipment Company in 2006. Boni joined the Wagner Training Institute in 2011 as the Training Assistant. With her vast experience in many areas and her exceptional customer service skills, Boni brings a wealth of knowledge to WTI.

Kathleen G

Kathleen grew up in California, and then moved to Colorado in 1968. After jobs in Georgia and Arizona, Kathleen moved back to Colorado where she intends to stay. Kathleen Joined the WTI staff in June of 2006.

Kathleen comes to Wagner with experience training in the private sector, the Federal Government and higher education. With a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Kathleen began her career working on college campuses running residence halls and marketed a non-traditional business degree program. Her college experience includes working on five college campuses in Colorado, Georgia and Arizona over a 14-year period.

As her work on college campuses evolved training, Kathleen eventually transitioned into training full-time. She ran a learning center at an AT&T manufacturing facility where she designed and presented a program of classes in basic skills, personal development and team development. She has also held training positions at Vantage Human Resource Services, Inc. which served Federal Government employees, and at Intrado, a company that designs systems and manages data for 911 calls.

Kathleen develops and facilitates training programs on a wide variety of topics in the professional development realm. At Wagner Equipment Co. she focuses her efforts on the design and implementation of classes for management employees.

Kathleen holds training certification in Inside / Out Coaching, Franklin Leadership Greatness, Managing Organizational Change, AAI Facilitation, and Insight Personality Assessment.

Nichol H

Born in Reno, NV and moving every couple of years throughout her childhood, Nichol has lived in four different states (Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado). Her family finally settled in Denver in 1986 and although she is not a true Colorado native, she is close enough! 

After graduating from Columbine High School in Littleton, Nichol continued her education at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Applied Human Sciences. Not content with one college degree, Nichol went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education at Regis University in Denver.

Nichol started with Wagner Equipment Co. in 2004 as our Staff Development Specialist, managing our Catapult Leadership Programs and coordinating/facilitating other staff development classes. In 2007, Nichol was promoted to the Program Development Specialist/Lead position. While Nichol still provides effective support as a course developer and facilitator, she is also responsible for evaluating and implementing new processes and programs, creating job aids, writing job descriptions, and many other tasks. She can also serve as a good resource to answer any questions you may have regarding Wagner Training Institute. Her personal energy and knowledge of adult course development, combined with her classroom expertise and her ability to design effective programs will help both WTI and our company as we move forward with new projects.

Nichol has a broad business background having worked in retail, childcare, mortgage, construction and education. These employment opportunities have given Nichol a vast amount of knowledge and real-life experiences of which she brings to her staff development classes. Her 5+ years in the construction industry and as a technical trainer with Generation21 Learning Systems have served as the platform for her training expertise. She holds several training certifications including: Interaction Management (DDI), Focus: Achieving Your Highest Priorities (Franklin Covey), Personalysis (Basic Workshop, Team Building, and Coaching).

Dan

Dan Price

In 1977, Dan Price Jr. came to work for Rust Tractor Co. (now Wagner Equipment Co.) in the main shop of the Albuquerque facility. While attending Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute (now Central New Mexico Community College) during the day and working in the shop at night, Dan participated in the State of New Mexico Apprenticeship Program. Working with various mentors, Dan accomplished journeyman status. Dan graduated with a Diesel Mechanics Certificate from Albuquerque TVI. 

As a technician, Dan worked in various departments including the main shop, field service, component shop, lift trucks shop, and on-highway truck engine shop as a Certified Truck Engine Analyst in the Industrial Engine field. Dan became an instructor in 1990, after the retirement of long time Instructor, Bill Bleich. In 1996, Dan accepted the challenge as the Service Manager of the on-highway truck service in the El Paso facility. In 2002, Dan returned to training as an instructor in the El Paso facility and in 2003 moved back to the Albuquerque facility where he continues to be a leading force in the development of our service technicians.

Dan is a Caterpillar Certified Instructor and the training liaison for the Albuquerque, Hobbs, and Silver City, New Mexico facilities as well as the El Paso, Texas facilities. He often assists with our recruitment efforts and provides support for Wagner’s Apprentice Program. You may even see him providing tours for local schools of the Albuquerque facility. Dan is certified to provide OSHA 10-Hour Training and Smith System Driver Training.

Jim

Raised in an Army family, Jim’s childhood was spent in various places. He completed high school in Albuquerque, NM and attended New Mexico State University for one year. He left college early to serve four years in the Army. After his discharge, he then attended the Diesel Mechanics Program at theAlbuquerque Technical-Vocational Institute (TVI). He graduated in 1978. 

Jim worked as a technician for the Detroit Diesel dealer in Albuquerque from 1979 until 1986. At that time he and his young family moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado. After four years working at a local diesel shop, Jim went to work for Wagner Equipment Co. in Hayden, Colorado. There he worked as a shop technician and as a field technician from 1990 to 2005. He moved to Burlington, Colorado in 2005 and was the service writer at the Wagner Equipment Co. facility there until May of 2006. He began his new career as a Service Training Instructor at WTI in June, 2006. 

Jim conducts training on earthmoving equipment, specializing in wheel loaders, dozers, and scrapers. He is also certified to teach OSHA 10-Hour Training and MSHA.

Richard

After graduating from Carlsbad High School in 1970, Richard served four years in the U.S. Navy from 1971-1975. He moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1977 to attend the Diesel Mechanics Program at TVI (now CNM) and completed his Diesel Mechanics Certificate Program in August of 1978. Richard started his heavy equipment career by working weekends and evenings in the Main Shop at Rust Tractor (now Wagner Equipment Co.) in January of 1978 while attending TVI. Richard enrolled in the Apprenticeship Program through Rust Tractor and completed the program in 1980. 

Richard worked for 12 years as a technician in the Main and Make Ready shops, starting at the apprentice level and working his way up to journeyman. He then worked for 10 years as a leadman over various support shops including the Machine, Hydraulic, Weld, and Track shops. He became a Product Support Representative in 1997 for the Northeast quadrant of the New Mexico territory for four years and then spent the next four years as an Earthmoving Technical Communicator (TC).

Richard joined WTI in May of 2008 as a service training instructor. His expertise with Caterpillar products benefits both Wagner Equipment Co. and our customers. As a recent graduate of the CATAPULT Leadership Program, he puts his excellent presentation skills to work as he teaches new skills to our technician workforce and our customers. Richard is CPR / First Aid and Blood borne Pathogens certified through the Red Cross. He is also certified to teach MSHA classes.
